Being a new member of the wordpress world can be intimidating. Great writers, interesting topics and thoughts, different experiences; not a community for the weak hearted or slow typist. The world of blogging, however, I am indeed familiar with. Having written, read, and followed many a post, I find that I face this step in blogging with the heaviest, and yet most enthusiastic heart, to date. Though intimidated I am not discouraged, rather there is a goal to be reached. Better writings, sharing thoughts and ideas globally, it won’t bring about world peace or discover the cure for any number of debilitating diseases; it is merely another tool of communication of the modern world. I look forward to sharing my thoughts and experiences with the world at large, but I hope that I can also reach the individual in all of us. There is something within a story that speaks to everyone. Even if it is only in the sound of rain echoing off the tin roof above your head, you take something of it away with you. That is how stories are spread. It is not through the Internet or news stories; it is the people that carry those stories with them. So, sounding as sincere as possible, I hope that these stories – and installments thereof – reach out and connect those people.
